In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Jenna Dewan-Tatum dished on the process of landing a role in FX’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” and life with hubby Channing Tatum.

Based on the interview, it sounds like snagging a role on the hit series was quite the unique experience…

“They wanted me to come in the door, slam the door, and scream. I remember getting it going, ‘Are we missing a page? I’m literally just screaming?’ And they said, ‘Yep.’ I came in, and I screamed, and that was that.”

In addition to the random scream test, she also had to prove her chemistry with Maroon 5 front man and co-star Adam Levine. It obviously went well as the two are now heating things up on screen every Wednesday night.

E! News’ Kristin Santos has this to say about tonight’s Halloween episode…“American Horror Story starts out this week’s episode with two shocking reveals (literally seconds apart) that have to do with our doomed honeymooners Theresa [Jenna Dewan-Tatum] and Leo [Adam Levine].”

As for chemistry with her husband, how did their first meeting go years ago when auditioning for ‘Step Up‘? Jenna tells the mag…

“He was so kind. He took me outside the studio and we ran lines together, to get comfortable. He’s still that giving and that humble and that nice of a guy. That struck me immediately.”

What about those rumors of she and Chan starring together in the film adaptation of ‘50 Shades of Grey‘?

“I don’t know if the public is as excited about watching a married couple play 50 Shades of Grey. I feel like that’s not as hot, for some reason.”

Based on the comments we’ve heard and read, fans definitely don’t seem to care about the marriage factor and clearly would love to see the two as Ana and Christian!

Jenna is currently in Wilmington, N.C., where she’s filming a Lifetime pilot based on Melissa de la Cruz’s novel “The Witches of East End“. Stay tuned for updates on that project, be sure to check out her full interview here, and tune into “American Horror Story: Asylum” on FX tonight!
